Yes—but mainly as a used bargain or simple pocket vlogging camera, not as the best new vlogging buy in 2026.

The Canon G7X Mark II is still worth considering if you want a small, easy camera with a flip-up screen, good-looking 1080p footage, a bright zoom lens, and better background blur/low-light quality than many phones. It is especially appealing for casual YouTube, travel, family, and walk-and-talk clips where convenience matters more than modern video specs.

I would not buy it if you need 4K, an external microphone input, the most reliable face/eye autofocus, USB-C workflow, or modern creator features. For serious vlogging, a Sony ZV-1-style compact, Canon G7X Mark III, or a newer mirrorless setup is usually a better fit.

Best rule: buy the G7X Mark II only if the used price is meaningfully lower than newer creator compacts and the camera is in good condition. Check for lens dust, screen hinge wear, battery health, sticky controls, and whether the autofocus is good enough for your style of filming.
