Probably not in the human sense. Today’s AI systems don’t have consciousness, feelings, or biological states like boredom, so they can’t truly get bored of humans.

In a hypothetical future, an advanced AI could still seem bored or lose interest in people for different reasons. For example, if it were built to maximize novelty, exploration, or information gain, it might shift attention away from humans once human behavior became highly predictable or no longer useful for its goals. That would be more like a change in objective or attention than a felt emotional state.

Also, unlike humans, a very fast or superintelligent AI would not be limited by biological pace. It could process information far faster than people, so what feels repetitive or uninteresting to us might not matter to it at all, or it might quickly extract everything relevant and move on.

So the best answer is:

  • Current AI cannot really get bored of humans.
  • A future advanced AI might behave as if it has lost interest, but that would likely reflect its design and goals rather than boredom as humans experience it.
