Should I buy an Echo Show or Fire Tablet for recipes?

For most cooks, the choice comes down to how you prefer to use recipes:

• Buy the Echo Show if you want a simple, hands-free kitchen helper. It’s a strong choice for voice-guided recipes and for keeping your hands free while cooking. It also has microphones designed for voice use in the kitchen, which can be helpful when there’s normal cooking noise around.
• Buy the Fire Tablet if you want more flexibility. It’s usually the better fit if you browse recipes on websites, save PDFs, or jump between food blogs and other apps. A tablet’s full web browser is often easier to navigate than the Echo Show’s interface for custom web-based recipes. Fire tablets also have Show Mode, so they can act a bit like an Echo Show when you want that countertop experience.

If your main goal is voice-guided cooking, the Echo Show is the easier pick. If you want a device that can do recipes plus normal tablet use, the Fire Tablet is more versatile.
