Should I buy the Elgato Key Light Mini or a Neewer LED panel?

It’s the safer default if you value convenience, a small footprint, battery-powered portability, and easy control over getting the most light per dollar.

Choose a Neewer LED panel instead if the specific model you’re considering is larger, brighter, includes useful mounting gear or a stand, and will mostly stay in one fixed setup. Neewer makes many different panels, so the exact model matters a lot; some are budget-friendly and powerful, while others may be less convenient or less polished than the Elgato.

My recommendation: for most people, buy the Elgato Key Light Mini. But if your Neewer option is a larger bi-color panel with a stand or mount included and you mainly shoot from one desk or studio spot, the Neewer may be the better value.
