Is the Fire TV Cube worth it over a Fire Stick?

• Fire TV Stick 4K: about $30–$50 new, $15–$30 used
• Fire TV Stick 4K Max: about $40–$60 new, $20–$40 used
• Fire TV Cube: about $100–$140 new, $60–$100 used

So, the Fire TV Cube is worth it only if you want the extra convenience/features: faster navigation, hands-free Alexa, and a more TV-hub-like setup. If you mainly want a streaming upgrade for Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Hulu, Disney+, etc., a Fire TV Stick 4K or 4K Max is usually the better value.

Rule of thumb:

• Buy the Cube if it’s your main TV and you’ll use Alexa voice control often.
• Buy the 4K Max if you want the best balance of speed and price.
• Buy the 4K Stick if you just want solid streaming for the least money.
