Buy Roku if you want the simplest, least fussy streaming experience. Buy a Fire TV Stick if you already use Amazon services a lot, want stronger casual gaming options, or prefer Alexa-style voice control.

For most people, I’d pick Roku: setup and day-to-day navigation are typically easier, and both platforms cover the major streaming apps. The difference is not huge, so if one is meaningfully cheaper in the model you’re considering, price can reasonably decide it.
