If your iPhone shows SOS Only, it usually means it can’t connect to your carrier’s network, but emergency calls still work.
Try these fixes in order:
- Turn Airplane Mode on and off for 15 seconds.
- Toggle Cellular Data off and back on in Settings > Cellular.
- Restart your iPhone.
- Check for a carrier settings update in Settings > General > About.
- Reinsert the SIM or check that your eSIM plan is active.
- Reset Network Settings in Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset.
- Update iOS in Settings > General > Software Update.
- If it still says SOS Only, contact your carrier to check for outages, account issues, or a bad SIM.
If you’re traveling, also make sure Data Roaming is on.
