To tell whether a product is sold by Amazon, check the Buy Box area near Add to Cart / Buy Now and look at the “Ships from” and “Sold by” lines.
- Sold by Amazon: If it says “Sold by Amazon.com” or your local Amazon marketplace name (for example, Amazon.ca or Amazon.co.uk), then Amazon is the seller for that offer.
- Ships from Amazon, sold by a third party: If it says “Ships from Amazon” but “Sold by [third-party seller]”, then a third-party merchant is selling the item and Amazon is only handling fulfillment.
- Third-party seller: If both lines name a non-Amazon seller, that seller is the one selling the item.
- Amazon Warehouse / used or open-box offers: Some used, open-box, or Warehouse deals may be sold directly by Amazon on Amazon’s marketplace, so check the Sold by line on that specific offer.
If there are multiple offers, click “Other Sellers on Amazon” or “New & Used” to see who sells each one.
Exact wording can vary by marketplace and product page, so always check the specific offer details before buying.
