For most people, no—the regular Kindle Paperwhite is the better value. The Paperwhite Signature Edition is worth paying extra for only if you specifically want 32GB storage, wireless charging, auto-adjusting front light, and an ad-free lock screen included.

Best rule of thumb: if the Signature costs only about $20–$30 more than an equivalent ad-free regular Paperwhite, it can be worth it. If the gap is closer to $40–$60+, buy the regular Paperwhite unless you read lots of manga/comics, store many Audible audiobooks, or really want wireless charging.
