Should I buy the Sonos Beam Gen 2 or Bose Smart Soundbar 600?

Both are excellent compact soundbars, but if I had to pick one:

1. Choose the Sonos Beam Gen 2 if you care most about a wide, cohesive soundstage, want DTS support for some Blu-ray/disc content, or already use Sonos speakers and want easier multi-room expansion.
2. Choose the Bose Smart Soundbar 600 if you want Bluetooth built in and prefer Bose’s tuning and app ecosystem.

A useful difference: the Bose Smart Soundbar 600 has physical upward-firing drivers for Dolby Atmos height effects, while the Sonos Beam Gen 2 creates Atmos effects through virtual/psychoacoustic processing rather than dedicated upfiring speakers.

My lean: the Sonos Beam Gen 2 is the safer all-around buy for TV/movie performance, especially if you value stereo separation and DTS. The Bose Smart Soundbar 600 makes more sense if Bluetooth is important to you or you specifically want physical upfiring Atmos drivers.
