Should I buy the TP-Link Deco X55 or Eero 6+ for a townhouse?

For most townhouses, I’d buy the TP-Link Deco X55 over the Eero 6+ if the price is similar. It’s the better fit when you want stronger specs for the money, more wired flexibility, and more network controls.

Choose Eero 6+ instead if you want the simplest setup and a more hands-off mesh system, especially if you already use Amazon smart-home gear.

For a townhouse, the bigger factor is layout: place one unit on the main floor and another upstairs, preferably near the stairwell or open vertical path. If your townhouse is long, has thick walls, or the modem is at one end, a 3-pack may be worth it. If you have Ethernet between floors, either system will perform much better with wired backhaul.
