QUESTION
Should I buy the TP-Link Deco X60 or Eero 6+ for a long house?
For a long house, I’d generally favor the TP-Link Deco X60 if you’re comparing similar-priced multi-packs and can place nodes along the length of the home. In a stretched floor plan, getting enough nodes and spacing them well usually matters more than small differences in raw speed.
I’d lean Eero 6+ if you specifically want a very simple app experience or already use a lot of Amazon/Alexa gear, but for either system, a 2-pack may be too limited in a long house unless the space is modest or you can use wired backhaul.
Best setup tip: put the main unit near the modem, the second around the middle of the house, and the third toward the far end. If the home has thick walls, brick, plaster, or multiple additions, Ethernet backhaul — or MoCA if Ethernet isn’t available — can matter more than which of these two you buy.
